Realme GT3: the smartphone with the fastest charge on the market is now official

Although we already knew some of its features and what its appearance would possibly be (based on the Realme GT Neo 5 sold in China), the Realme GT3 has raised expectations at MWC 2023. Due to the growing fame that the brand has earned in its few years of life, but above all for its main claim: the fastest charge on the market.

The Realme GT3 achieves this record with fast charging technology of up to 240W, which allows a 100% charge of the battery in just nine and a half minutes. As an alternative for those who have even less time, the 50% charge is achieved in four minutes. A savage. But the Realme GT3 has more assets.

Extremely fast charging

The Realme GT3 has a fast charge that is its best cover letter and, logically, one of the legs on which the brand is relying the most for its promotion. During his presentation, it was the section that most stood out. And is not for less.

Its double cell battery with a capacity of 4,600 mAh charges to 100% in nine and a half minutes, as we said, an outrage that can be differential no longer on a weekend in which we barely go home to go out again, but for situations where running out of battery can be critical or very inconvenient, such as travel. There are other percentages communicated by the brand and interesting because of how instantaneous it is to scratch autonomy:

One and a half minutes: 20% charge
Four minutes: 50% charge

According to the manufacturer, the charging system is designed in order to preserve the battery in the long term, without these very high powers degrading it. This will not be easy to verify until you accumulate used terminals in the long term, but in any case we do not recommend making excessive use of this charging technology, but leaving it for when we really need an instant charge.

Another of the sections that has really stood out the most from its new terminal is a rear design that includes a "window" surrounded by a configurable RGB LED... that allows you to see the processor, a nod to the type of user who most appreciates this type of details.

In Realme's own marketing materials you can see how the use of this "C-shaped light" stars in many of the promotional images. A sign that they aspire to be one of their hallmarks.

For the rest, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that, although it is no longer the most recent processor, does ensure great performance, especially for video games, since its screen is relatively contained in the number of pixels (1.5K ), its RAM is generous, reaching 16 GB, and the 360 Hz sampling rate can reach peaks of 1,500 Hz: did someone say fluidity and performance?

On the other hand, the cameras, which arrive in a rear module design that is becoming more and more distinctive of the house, are left with a triple lens configuration: a main one, 50 megapixels; and two secondary ones, which in fact are integrated into the same protective sphere, with 8 and 2 megapixels, ultra-wide angle and microscopic, respectively. The visual sensation when looking at the rear is that there is only a double lens, not a triple one.

Price and availability of the Realme GT3

The Realme GT3 has been announced at a price that will start at $649 (just over 600 euros to change), although its price in euros for Spain has not yet been communicated.

Its commercial release date has not been published by the brand either, but we will update this article as soon as it is announced.
